To Catch A Thief is one of the lighter Hitchcocks. It is notably lacking in much suspense, but coasts along nicely on on the star pairing of Hitchcock favourites Cary Grant and Grace Kelly and charming French Riviera ocations.

Grant plays an ex-Resistance fighter and retired cat burglar, who has to track down an imposter copying his modus operandi.  Kelly is the daughter of a rich American widow targeted by the thief.

I bought this Belgian poster at auction this year (along with Rear Window). They came very badly framed, which unfortunately involved them being glued on a cardboard backing, which had warped. I was unable to remove the card but my framer did a good job nonetheless to rescue them. These are both now part of my ‘Belgian Hitchcock’ gallery of 6 original posters. (I think I now officially done with buying Belgian Hitchcock posters…!)

I also have the above French ‘grande’ for the movie, this from a 70s re-release. This is for sale here.
