There are a slew of Tarzan movies, and movie Tarzans, out there – but the indisputed king was Johnny Weissmuller.

I used to watch Tarzan movies as a kid on Saturday afternoon TV. I have no recollection of whether I’ve seen this one, but it probably screened back then.  

Tarzan’s Secret Treasure, released in 1941, was the fifth in the Tarzan series to star Weissmuller and the final one to co-star Maureen O’Sullivan as Jane.  

“Boy”, rescued and adopted by Tarzan, was the sole survivor of a plane crash in the jungle in the previous film, Tarzan Finds A Son. He and Jane end up captured by treasure hunters this time around, until Tarzan rescues them.
