The Rat Pack are in full swing in this 1964 musical comedy.
Starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, the movie takes as its inspiration the Robin Hood legend, transposed to 1920s Chicago.
Sinatra and pals play gangsters with the names of Robby, Little John and Will. Bing Crosby also pops up as a character named Alan A. Dale, after Sinatra had a falling out with Peter Lawford, who was originally cast in the role. It was a troubled production, not least because Sinatra’s close friend President Kennedy was assassinated during shooting.
This is a rather fun Belgian poster, plus a somewhat bizarre French poster, which doesn’t feature the leads at all and manages to miss-spell Sammy Davis Jr’s name! Both are for sale here.
