The 1974 movie Gold (not to be confused with the later Matthew McConaughey film of the same title) was one of two action movies Roger Moore made with director Peter Hunt in the 70s, in between James Bond assignments. (The other being Shout At The Devil).

Its a terrific story, if one can get beyond the apartheid South Africa setting and all that entails. Moore plays the general manager at a gold mine; Susannah York is the wife of the duplicitous mine boss, with whom he is having an affair.

The baddies attempt to flood the mine to manipulate gold prices, and Roger needs to go underground to try save both it and the men trapped inside.

I still have the soundtrack album, with music  by Elmer Bernstein. The title song is also terrific, in a Bond-style way.

This is an LP sized booklet that I bought at the cinema when I went to see the movie.
