There have been at least 3 movie versions of Mutiny On The Bounty.
The 1962 version is arguably the most famous, and stars Marlon Brando as leader of the mutiny against captain Trevor Howard. The film is (very) loosely based on a real life muting of 1789. It was shot on location in Tahiti, and the famously troubled production was briefly the most expensive film ever made (until Cleopatra came along).
Brando was reportedly consistently difficult and late to arrive on set, which added to the movie’s spiralling costs. He meantime fell in love with his Tahitian love interest, and subsequently married her.
This is the Italian ‘2 fogli’ poster, from an early re-release, with great artwork by Enzo NIstri. This sold earlier this year.
