For some reason, I have amassed more promotional material for The Natural than any other movie.

At last count, I have a UK quad, a French grande, a press book and a variety of stills – all of which are for sale here. 

It’s not that I have a particular affection for the movie. Its a solid enough sporting picture, in which Robert Redford’s over-the-hill baseball slugger finds redemption. But its hardly a classic. 

There is a great scene near the end where he hits a ball into the floodlights and make a home run in slow motion while sparks cascade behind him. But beyond that, I don’t recall a whole load about it. 

Aside from Redford, there’s a great supporting cast, including Robert Duvall, Kim Basinger and love interest Glenn Close.
