I have collected or nearly collected various posters over the years for Sergio Leone’s follow up to A Fistful Of Dollars.

Once upon a time I owned the UK quad, but sold it (which I now regret), although I don’t think its the greatest design. I have been tempted to buy the French grande, which I prefer from an art standpoint, and I have seen available a few times, but I do not have any room to display it.

So currently I have both an original French “moyenne” and, curiously, an Argentinean poster, both of which feature memorable images of Clint.  I am tempted to get one or both of these framed, but have not got around to it yet.

The movie itself often seems to get forgotten between Fistful and The Good…both of which arguably contain more iconic spaghetti western moments. The plot has Eastwood’s bounty hunter team up with Lee Van Cleef’s sharpshooter Colonel Mortimer to take down a band of outlaws, led by Gianmaria Volonte, who also rather confusingly played the (dead) baddie in Fistful.

It remains a worthy sequel, albeit perhaps not Sergio Leone’s best work.

Both the posters above I am keeping while I figure out what to do with them (to frame or not to frame?). I do have 3 French lobby cards from the original 1964 release including the cool black and white image of Clint above for sale here.
