“La Balade Sauvage” is the French title for Terrence Malick’s 1973 classic neo-noir Badlands, and is arguably a more evocative description of the film itself.
Badlands was director Malick’s feature debut, and shares a lyrical tone, leisurely pace and strong use of imagery with much of his later works.
Much of the movie’s enduring strength however comes from its casting, featuring a never-better young Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek as murderous lovers on the run. (In a story partly inspired by Bonnie and Clyde and loosely based on a real life murder spree from the 50s).
This is a rather cool poster image on this ‘moyenne’ size poster. I now rather regret selling this one!
