Now here is a rarity – a French grande poster from 1957 for the original version of 3.10 to Yuma.

I honestly cannot remember if I have ever seen this movie (starring Glenn Ford). I have, however, read the (very) short story it is based on – by ‘hardboiled’ writer Elmore Leonard, no less, and I have seen the ok-ish but instantly forgettable remake starring Christian Bale.

It is a very economical yet classic tale – upright lawman needs to escort criminal to catch said train without getting killed by the criminal’s accomplices.

This is a very rare and collectible poster – probably the best design anywhere for this Western classic – by the great French illustrator Guy Gerard Noel. I have raved about his Western poster designs elsewhere, and I think he outdid himself here. This great, iconic poster is for sale here.
